Lately, I’ve been on a mission. If you’ve been following along for a while now, you might know I’ve struggled with chronic fatigue syndrome since my early twenties.
My herbal kitchen practice is what helps me stay balanced and nourished so I can feel my best, despite my swings of fatigue.
But something shifted in a big way after traveling to Europe this summer. Going to three countries on 8 flights in 3 weeks completely threw my system off when I returned home.
I’ve felt the lowest I have in a long time and for about a month, I’d have to work from bed half of the day because I felt so wiped out.
Unsure of what was going on I sought the support of my primary care doctor, running tests and bloodwork that all came back “normal.”
Unfortunately, I feel anything but normal. So, like I said I’ve been on a mission and trying to get to the root of what’s going on, getting second and third opinions.
While I don’t have answers yet, I’m grateful to finally be working with a functional medicine doctor who’s been dealing with cases like mine for over 20 years.
In the meantime, I’m trying to give extra support to myself with balanced meals, herbs, and supplements.
This 10-minute breakfast has been so healing first thing in the morning. It’s got protein, fiber, and probiotics to start the day.
Breakfast really is the most important meal because it sets your body up for what it wants and needs for the rest of the day. Enjoying a balanced breakfast, (whatever that looks like for you) helps to support your blood sugar, hormones, digestion, mood, and so much more.
